UNCOVERED

SOLO EXHIBITION BY PIERRE DEBUSSCHERE AT MAD BRUSSELS

Since iconic Image Maker, Pierre Debusschere, was discovered internationally through publications such as Dazed and Confused, digital Image Making became an art form in its own right, able to express a unique vision of the future of fashion. UNcovered is the solo show by Pierre Debusschere at MAD Brussels and is on until the 30th of September 2018.

Since working with notable brands in the industry from Adidas, to Louis Vuitton, to Beyonce, UNcovered is the first extensive solo show of the work of artist Pierre Debusschere. Featuring 90 unpublished images, these works are stunningly complex, beautiful, and redefines modern day surrealism.

Pierre Debusschere has played a huge part in creating a space where digital photography can be recognised as forward thinking, rather than a cheaper and easier solution to analogue. His digital renderings take photography to an entirely new world through bold manipulations that are harsh yet intimate.

Featuring at UNcovered is a spectacular film piece projected upwards and parallel to the ceiling. Watching from beneath mirrors the notion of watching a church ceiling being painted; such religious iconography is a key theme in the artists body of work.

All pieces are produced at 254forest and in collaboration with Renaud Meunier who is a resident at MAD LAB. Part of this exhibition includes a limited edition book produced by Triangle books.

The birth of Beyond Photography is somewhat inspired by the work of Pierre Debusschere and our excitement to review this show was second to none.

We believe that the future of Image Making lies in the move away from the traditional understanding of photography and push what is possible with the new technologies available to us. No one is doing this more than Pierre Debusschere and as followers of his work for several years, these dramatic renderings have informed our taste in experimental Image Making.

All pieces are produced at 254forest and in collaboration with Renaud Meunier who is a resident at MAD LAB. Part of this exhibition includes a limited edition book produced by Triangle books.

Don't miss the life-changing exhibition running at MAD Brussels until the 30th of September.
