BEYOND PHOTOGRAPHY - The Leading Experimental Photography Platform

One of the most prevalent places to find experimental photography is in album artwork. Musicians realise that, often, to truly execute their vision is through their album artwork.

Below are our favourite edited artworks across various mediums and eras.

Grace Jones, Slave to the Rhythm

Daft Punk, Random Access Memories

Doon Kanda, Labrynth

Rico Nasty, Anger Management

Missy Elliott, Miss e... so additive

Tyler the Creator, Igor

Young Fathers, Cocoa Sugar

Bring Me the Horizon, Suicide Season

System of a Down, Steal this Album!

Dead or Alive, Fan the Flame pt. 1

Depeche Model, Violator

The Prodigy, The Fat of the Land

Korn, Life is Peachy

These album covers span several decades and provide an insight to the history of experimental photography. From Missy Elliots digital photoshopping taking an afro futurist influence, to Korn's macabre ghost photography, we can see the diversity of Non-Traditional Photography and it's ability to communicate the unreal, and the impossible. Much like the artists themselves , the artworks aim to take the viewer to another world, one of impossibility.
